Course Appetizer

Ingredients

Meatballs

  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 package chicken flavored boxed stuffing mix
  • 1 1/4 cup water
  • 2 eggs

Tomato Basil Cream Sauce

  • 1 jar marinara sauce (14 oz)
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, cut into cubes and softened
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil leaves
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese (for garnish)

Creamy Brown Gravy

  • 1 jar prepared brown gravy (12 oz)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Heat oven to 400 degrees. Line 2 (15x10x1-inch) pans with foil; spray with cooking spray. Mix ingredients until blended; shape into 32 (1-1/2-inch) balls, using 1/4 cup for each.
  • Place 16 meatballs in each prepared pan. Bake 16 to 18 minutes or until done (Tested at 165 degrees with a meat thermometer).
  • While meatballs bake, prepare sauces. Combine separate sauce ingredients in two large skillets or saucepans and stir until sour cream and cream cheese have melted and dissolved into sauce. Keep warm but do not boil.
  • Combine half of the meatballs with one sauce and combine half with another. Pour into nice dishes and serve warm. Enjoy!
