2 to 2 1/2poundschicken, cooked and cut into bite-sized pieces
1/2cupslivered almonds
1cupfinely chopped celery
1/2cupfinely chopped onion
2canscondensed cream of chicken soup (10.5 oz, each)
1 1/2cupmayonnaise
2canssliced water chestnuts, drained (8 oz, each)
1 1/2tsptarragon
1 1/2cupsgrated medium-sharp cheddar cheese
1 1/2cupspotato chips, crushed
Instructions
Preheat oven to 450 degrees. In a large bowl, combine chicken, almonds, celery, onion, soup, mayonnaise, chestnuts and tarragon and mix thorÂoughly to blend. Spread evenly in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
Top chicken mixture with cheese and potato chips. Place in oven and immediately reduce heat to 350 degrees. Bake in preheated oven about 30 minutes. Do not allow sauce to bubble as it will separate. Makes 10 to 12 servings. Enjoy!
