Green Beans Almondine

Course Side Dish

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb fresh green beans
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds, toasted

Instructions
 

  • Clean stem ends off beans and wash thoroughly. Place beans in a large steamer pot and steam beans until fork tender, but not mushy. While beans are steaming, place butter and almonds in a small saucepan and allow butter to melt and cook almonds slightly.
  • Drain beans and place in serving bowl. Pour butter/almond mixture over beans and toss lightly. Salt and pepper may be added if desired. Makes 4 servings. Enjoy!
