Tamale Pie

Ingredients
  

  • butter
  • tortilla chips
  • 1 1/2 lbs ground chuck
  • 1 onion diced
  • 1 can stewed tomatoes
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 8 oz can tomato sauce
  • 1 can diced chilies
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 lb grated cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 lb grated mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 16 oz sour cream
  • black olives ripe, pitted, and sliced

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Butter a 9x13 inch baking dish and line with tortilla chips.
  • In a skillet over medium high heat, brown ground chuck well and drain. Add onions, tomatoes, garlic powder, tomato sauce, chilies, salt and pepper. Mix well to blend. Simmer 15 minutes. Pour over chips in baking dish.
  • Combine three cheeses and sprinkle over meat. Spoon sour cream over cheese mixture and spread like icing. Sprinkle olives on top.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 35 minutes. Remove from oven and let stand at room temperature for 10-15 minutes before serving. Makes 8-10 servings. Enjoy!
