Arlene Makes Easy Italian Sausage and Shares a Special Message

In this 2010 episode, Arlene makes fries up some tasty Italian sausage with peppers and onions, then shows two different ways to serve it, either with ziti noodles and sauce, or on crusty rolls with melted cheese. Yum!

But even more important that the recipes is the special message that God put on her heart. While going through a very serious illness, Arlene felt completely cutoff from God. Despite friends and family around her and supporting her, she felt completely alone. But, she never gave up. She prayed, she read scripture, and continued to trust in God. Slowly, that feeling of God’s presence came back. Having known how it felt to be separated from God, feeling his presence again made it all the sweeter.

Having been touched by God, Arlene reminds viewers that God longs to have a relationship with us. The most important decision you can ever make is to invite the Lord to come into your heart and give your life to Him. If you feel separated from God, if you feel all alone, if you desperately want Him in your life, we want to pray with you. Cornerstone Television has prayer partners available 24/7 to pray with you, encourage you, and to share the life-changing love of God with you.

Course Main Course

Ingredients

  • 8 links fresh Italian sausage (4 oz, each)
  • 1 jar spaghetti sauce (26 oz)
  • 2 green bell peppers, seeded and sliced into strips
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 clove garlic

Instructions

  • Place sausage links in large skillet over medium heat. Pour 1 cup water over sausages and place cover over skillet. Let cook about 10 minutes until some of the grease has boiled out of the meat and the pan is almost dry.
  • Add green peppers, onion slices and garlic clove to skillet and let begin to cook, but not brown. Pour sauce over all and replace cover and let cook for 20 to 25 minutes or until sausage is well cooked and tender. Stir contents several times to prevent burning.
  • Sausage may be served over rice, tossed with cooked pasta and marinara sauce, or in toasted hoagie buns topped with mozzarella cheese and broiled until melted and browned. Makes 8 servings. Enjoy!
  • Note: These sausages can be made in a crockpot. Just follow instruction 1, then place everything into a crockpot and let cook on low for 6 hours. It is truly delicious!

  • Has been a while since I’ve looked at the program. The encouraging message on this one seems tailor made for me. Been going through a whirlwind of back to back troubles, the latest has broken my heart very deeply because of an unexpected shameful deception from someone I had grown to trust. Thank you again CTVN for continuing the ministry of At Home.
