Yummy Mushroom Bread

This is like garlic bread with some seriously good cheesy mushroom filling.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 large loaf Italian bread (not sliced)
  • 1 pound sliced mushrooms, cleaned
  • 5 green onions chopped fine
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup melted salted butter (1 stick)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut loaf of bread into halves lengthwise, and hollow out a little bit of the inside to make room for filling. (Save the pieces for breadcrumbs or another recipe.) Place on a large baking sheet.
  • In a large bowl, mix mushrooms, onions, garlic, cheese, and butter. Fill bread with mushroom mixture. It will seem like a lot, but the mushrooms will cook down/
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes in a 350 degree oven. If the crust starts to get too dark, cover loosely with aluminum foil. Bake until mushrooms are tender and bread is crunchy. Cut into slices. Sevres lots. Enjoy!
