Boil spaghetti until the pasta is a little softer than al dente. Drain pasta into colander. Place butter into hot pan and return pasta to pan.
Place pan over VERY LOW HEAT and mix until butter coats the pasta. Add tomato paste and tomato sauce and mix well. Add in 3 slices of American cheese that has been cut in half before putting into pot. Break softened cream cheese into small pieces and mix into pot (which continues to heat over a low flame).
Mix well and let cook about 2 to 3 minutes, continuing to stir occasionally to make sure all the pasta gets thoroughly covered with sauce. Sprinkle with chopped basil. Makes 4 servings. Enjoy!
